Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, a leading academic institute, has taken a bold step forward to create industry ready personnel and entrepreneurs by partnering with Science and Technology Park, Pune (STP), a leading technology business incubator and Tata Technologies Ltd, a leading global engineering service provider. The Center for Invention, Innovation and Incubation (CIII) established by Rayat in collaboration with STP and Tata Technologies will provide an ecosystem for enhancing skills among employable persons and to identify, promote and support startup companies and budding entrepreneurs to successfully setup new enterprises. Whereby creating a linkage between academia, industry and local residents.

About Rayat Shikshan Sanstha,Satara

Rayat Shikshan Sanstha is an Indian educational organisation founded by Karmveer Bhaurao Patil in 1919. Its aim was to provide education to students who, due to caste, religion of economic status, had not previously had the opportunity. The organisation has its headquarters in Satara, Maharashtra state. Today the Sanstha has more than 700 institutions comprising of Colleges, Schools, Hostels, Ashramshalas and ancilliary units operating across Maharashtra.

About Science and Technology Park, Pune

Science and Technology Park, Pune (STP) is one of the Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Parks (STEPs) set up in the year 1986 by National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India within the campus of Savitribai Phule Pune University. STP's mission is to convert knowledge into wealth and its primary objective is to enable industry-academia government public linkage and to provide incubation services to technology-based startups and entrepreneurs.

Tata Technologies Limited is a company in the Tata Group that provides services in engineering and design, product lifecycle management, manufacturing, product development, and IT service management to automotive and aerospace original equipment manufacturers and their suppliers. Incubation & Co-Working

The CllI will function as a business incubator to support young innovators and businesses and enable them to thrive. The incubation program will aim to take enterprises from idea stage to market to thriving businesses. The services offered through the incubator will include:

  • industry and business mentoring
  • basic business planning and operating services
  • co-working workplace, meeting areas, demonstration and event space
  • access to funding opportunities and marketing support
  • business acceleration support linkages to key economic agencies, government bodies and private enterprises

The CllI will also be a platform for innovation and R&D, not just for new innovators and startup companies, but also for local industries and SMEs to extend their R&D activities, whereby reducing their cost and space requirements for undertaking R&D activities and to overcome their business challenges. The centre thus becomes a shared R&D facility for all local industries and enables them to develop new products and service offerings in the market.
